Wendy Vail is the owner of Opal & Ivy and a highly respected color specialist with over 37 years of experience behind the chair. Known for her expertise in creating beautifully dimensional, fully customized hair color, Wendy has built a reputation for delivering results that are as unique as each client she serves.

Her career is rooted in a deep commitment to education and growth. Wendy has spent more than three decades on education teams with industry leaders TIGI and R+Co. As the former Technical Director for TIGI and in her current role on the Global Color Team for R+Co, Wendy has dedicated her career to shaping and inspiring the next generation of stylists.

Wendy brings that passion for team development and building strong, education-driven cultures to Opal & Ivy, bringing a collaborative and supportive “community over competition” mindset to everything she does.

She is a true scientist when it come to the highlighting process, as well as an artist! She is so knowledgeable and personable. Emelia cut my fine, thin hair in a way that left me shaking my hair with confidence. The true test is when I wash and style my hair myself. I can say, every day has been a good hair day.

Every detail of the newly opened Opal and Ivy is meticulously designed to give the client the best possible experience as well as desired result.
